Autobiography
Emine Erdağ Haskoloğlu is an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Near
East University Faculty of Pharmacy. She obtained her Bachelor's and Ph.D. degrees from
Near East University and has been serving as the Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical
Chemistry since 2023.
She teaches courses including Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Drug Design, Physicochemical
Concepts in Drug Design, Advanced Medicinal Chemistry, and Drug Nomenclature at both
undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Her research focuses on neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, drug design, and chronotherapy,
with expertise in molecular modeling, in silico drug discovery, machine learning-based
predictive models and antimicrobial drug candidate discovery. She has published numerous
international articles on the synthesis of heterocyclic molecules, computational chemistry, and
the application of artificial intelligence in pharmaceutical sciences.
She received the Young Researcher Award from the Near East University Science Awards in
2022 and the Publication Award in 2023 for her contributions to pharmaceutical research.
Beyond academia, she has experience in clinical pharmacy and hospital pharmacy.
